About this deal

Normally he’s opposed to olive oil bread dip but, unfortunately for me, he actually enjoyed this recipe. Seasoning and Spices: I know it may seem a bit basic, but the salt and pepper you use make all the difference.

The delicate flavor of extra virgin olive oil is enhanced with oregano and basil, fresh garlic, and sweet swirls of balsamic glaze. This chilli oil is excellent drizzled over your homemade bruschetta, through cous cous and for roasting summer veggies.Warm the bread: If you have the time, serve your dipping oil with warm bread as they do in fancy Italian restaurants.

I mean you can't have an olive oil dip for bread, without a loaf of bread 🙂 For me, the best bread to serve it with is Italian bread such as focaccia to keep the Italian theme. The crusty bread I had no idea what to do with, was such a fantastic accompaniment to this VERY addicting bread dipping Sauce! In most cases, olive oil is infused with a combination of dried or fresh herbs (such as thyme, basil, rosemary, and oregano), spices and seasonings (like red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper) and acid (like lemon juice, red wine or balsamic vinegar. If you decide to go with balsamic vinegar, simply use a tablespoon of balsamic in place of freshly squeezed lemon juice. We’ve all been to those Italian restaurants where they serve you fresh bread alongside an olive oil bread dip right? You can easily prepare a larger batch of this olive oil bread dip recipe and keep it in your refrigerator for up to a week. Made this on Christmas with my family as an addition to our charcuterie board and it was definitely a hit!

Adding Salt: While we listed salt as an ingredient, it is best to taste the mixture first before adding it, especially if you are using Parmesan cheese since it can already be quite salty.
